The TTC runs Toronto's public transit network: three subway lines, a streetcar system, and a comprehensive bus network that reaches every corner of the city.
The Yonge-University line is the backbone, running a U-shape through downtown with trains every few minutes during the day. The Bloor-Danforth line crosses east-west and connects at three stations. Streetcars cover the downtown core along Queen, King, Dundas, and College streets. The system runs from roughly 6am to 1:30am, with Blue Night bus routes providing 30-minute service overnight.
A single fare (cash, token, or Presto card) lets you transfer freely between subway, streetcar, and bus for a continuous trip. Day passes are available and worth it if you plan three or more rides.
