Old City Hall

Toronto's Old City Hall is one of the city's great Romanesque Revival landmarks, completed in 1899 with a clock tower that still dominates the view along Bay Street. It was designed by E. J. Lennox, the architect also responsible for Casa Loma.

The building now functions as a courthouse, so casual visits are more about the exterior than a museum-style interior. Even so, the stonework, arches, grotesques, and tower make it one of the best architectural stops around Nathan Phillips Square.
