The Old Toronto Street Post Office is a handsome Greek Revival building from 1851, first used as a post office and later as a Bank of Canada branch. Its stone facade and restrained classical lines are easy to miss among the taller downtown blocks, but the building is a National Historic Site of Canada.
It is a quick architectural stop between St. Michael's Cathedral and St. Lawrence Market. The Conrad Black document-removal scandal later gave the building an odd footnote in modern Canadian business history.
