The best-preserved of Yorkville's old residential streets, lined with the brick and bay-and-gable Victorian houses that once filled the whole neighbourhood before the towers went up. Many have been restored and converted into art galleries, design studios, and discreet luxury shops, so the street keeps its 19th-century scale while fitting the area's expensive present.
It is a short, pleasant walk and a reminder of what Yorkville looked like in its 1960s bohemian heyday and long before. Combine it with a wander down Yorkville Avenue itself for the most characterful corner of the district.
