Sky Adventures was one of the first operators to put suspension bridges into the Monteverde canopy and the walking route, Sky Walk, is still one of the better experiences of its kind. The trail runs through cloud forest with five hanging bridges, the highest 60 metres above the floor of a ravine.
The companion Sky Trek zipline is faster and longer than most local circuits — eight cables up to 770 metres long, with views across the forest to the Gulf of Nicoya on clear days. The Sky Tram gondola lifts you to the start, which is a good option in the rainy season when the climb gets muddy. Booking is straightforward and the operation is well-run.
