Eating Out

Tamarindo eats well for a beach town. The local sodas (small family restaurants) serve casados — rice, beans, plantain, salad, and a protein — for a few dollars, while the main strip has a couple of dozen restaurants ranging from beach-shack tacos to seafood tasting menus. Fish is fresh and abundant: tuna, mahi-mahi, snapper, and the inevitable ceviche.
