Nanortalik is a remote Arctic town with a small but genuine set of attractions. The outdoor museum and the red colonial church are the main built heritage; the real draw is the dramatic granite landscape and the kayaking in the surrounding archipelago. Hiking up Ravnefjeldet gives the best overview of the entire area.
