Flores's restaurant scene is dominated by lakeside terraces aimed squarely at travellers — Italian, Tex-Mex, "international" plates with the standard Tikal-circuit prices. Tucked between them are a handful of more interesting places: a couple of pan-Latin chef-driven kitchens, a long-standing Argentine grill, and the everyday comedores in Santa Elena where most locals actually eat.
