From Panajachel, regular shared lanchas cross the lake to San Pedro in about 45 minutes. Boats run from early morning until late afternoon — do not count on service after dark. Private boat hire is available any time. From Guatemala City or Antigua, shuttle services run to Panajachel, from where you take the boat. Tuk-tuks and pickups connect San Pedro to San Juan La Laguna and San Marcos La Laguna along the road that hugs the western shore.
