San Pedro Sula is hot year-round, with temperatures rarely dropping below 25C. The dry season from February to May is the most comfortable time to visit. The rainy season runs from June through November, with the heaviest downpours in September and October.
If you want to time your visit around an event, the Feria Juniana in June is the city's biggest celebration -- a month of parades, concerts, carnivals, and street food that peaks on weekends. The Folkloric Festival in September features two weeks of traditional dance, music, and food from across Central America.
