San Pedro Sula is a transit city, not a sightseeing destination, but there are a few things worth your time if you have a day to fill. The Museo de Antropologia e Historia has well-presented exhibits on pre-Columbian Honduras, and the nearby nature museum is a decent rainy-afternoon stop. The real draws are outside the city -- Cusuco National Park in the Merendon mountains and the ruins at Copan both make rewarding day trips.
