Kingston is served by Norman Manley International Airport on the Palisadoes spit, southeast of the city. It handles flights from North America (Miami, New York, Toronto, Philadelphia), the UK (London Heathrow), and other Caribbean islands. The airport is about 30 minutes from New Kingston by taxi; taxis are unmetered, so agree on the fare before getting in. The going rate is posted at the arrivals hall.
Montego Bay's Sangster International Airport handles more tourist flights and some travellers fly into Montego Bay then travel east by bus or private transfer — a drive of about four hours along the north coast road. JUTA taxis and Knutsford Express buses connect Kingston to Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, and other north coast towns.
Within Jamaica, route taxis and minibuses connect Kingston to towns across the island from the bus depot at Half Way Tree and the Downtown terminals.
