Headquarter House began as the residence of Thomas Hibbert, a wealthy merchant and Speaker of the House of Assembly. It later served as army headquarters, then housed Jamaica's parliament until 1960. The Jamaica National Heritage Trust now occupies the building, and visitors are welcome.
