Seven Mile Beach is one of the Caribbean's great stretches of sand — nearly unbroken white sand running along the calm western shore of Jamaica. The beach is public its entire length, so you can walk from the modest guesthouses at the southern end all the way to the large all-inclusives at the north without interruption. The water is warm, clear, and gentle; there is rarely any significant surf. Mornings are the best time to walk it before the beach vendors set up their pitches.
