Mystic Mountain is a rainforest adventure park above Ocho Rios, reached by a chairlift that rises through the tree canopy with views over the bay. At the top there are a bobsled ride — a wheeled cart on a track that winds down through the forest — a zip line, a waterslide, a swimming pool, and a butterfly garden. The chairlift alone is worth the trip, especially on a clear day when the sea stretches out below you.
The bobsled is the headline attraction, modelled loosely on Jamaica's celebrated bobsled team, and it's genuinely entertaining: you control your own speed, and the track twists through the trees for about 900 metres. The zip line covers more ground and gives you a longer spell above the canopy. The park is well maintained and works efficiently even with large cruise groups. Arrive early in the day for the shortest waits.
