Cozumel has the usual cruise-port problem: the waterfront restaurants are mediocre and expensive, while the better places hide a few streets inland. Local specialities are seafood — grilled grouper, ceviche, octopus — and Yucatec dishes such as cochinita pibil and panuchos.
