El Mogote is the long sandy peninsula that shelters the north side of Bahia de La Paz. The area is an environmentally sensitive wetland recognized under the Ramsar convention, with broad bay views, quiet shoreline, and birdlife. It is best treated as a nature stop rather than a developed beach.
