La Paz's malecón is the city's living room, a long waterfront promenade lined with palms, sculptures, benches, and views across the bay. It is pleasant by day and essential at sunset, when families, runners, cyclists, and visitors all drift toward the water.
Walk a generous stretch rather than treating it as a single viewpoint. The changing light over the Gulf of California is the best show in town.
