Playa Cerritos

Northern Mazatlán beach with surf, open sand, and a quieter resort-edge feel.

Playa Cerritos lies toward the northern end of Mazatlán's beach zone, where the city begins to loosen into dunes, surf, and newer resort development. It has a more open feel than the central beaches, with broad sand and stronger Pacific energy.

It is a good choice if you want beach time away from the busiest parts of the malecón and Zona Dorada. Conditions can be rough, so swimmers should pay attention to flags and local advice, but walkers, sunset watchers, and surfers will find plenty to like.
