Choco-Story is a small museum near the Uxmal archaeological zone, focused on cacao and traditional Maya methods for growing and processing chocolate. Tastings are part of the appeal, but the exhibits also make a useful break from ruins in the heat.
The site includes a refuge for rescued animals, which makes it especially easy to recommend for families. It works best as a short add-on before or after visiting Uxmal itself.
