An evening light-and-sound show staged nightly at Uxmal, projecting coloured lights onto the Pyramid of the Magician and the Nunnery Quadrangle while a narrated history of the Maya plays over speakers. The show runs in Spanish with an optional simultaneous English audio guide. The quality is variable, but the experience of standing at Uxmal after dark, when the ruins are empty of day visitors and the jungle sounds take over, is worthwhile regardless of the show itself.
Typically runs at 8pm. Check locally for exact times and whether the show is operating; it occasionally closes for maintenance or festivals. Admission charged separately or included in combined-entry tickets.
