Cathedral Basilica of Zacatecas

The Cathedral Basilica of Zacatecas is one of Mexico's great Churrigueresque churches, built in pink-red cantera stone between 1730 and 1760. The exterior is richly carved, with dense ornamentation across the facade and towers. The interior is plainer than the facade, but the building remains the landmark of the historic centre.
