Bonaire Botanical Garden is a personal, guided garden in the Tras di Montaña area on the road towards Rincon. Its interest lies less in lush display than in adaptation: native and useful plants growing in dry, windy ground, with explanations of medicinal herbs, permaculture, and traditional uses.
This is one of the island's more personal attractions. Visits depend on the owner-guide being available, so call or arrange ahead rather than arriving unannounced. Expect conversation and local knowledge, not a formal botanic institution with fixed paths and labels.
