Salt Pier is both industrial infrastructure and one of Bonaire's most memorable dives. Beneath the loading terminal, rows of pillars are covered with sponges and coral while schools of fish gather in the shade. The geometry and changing light make it especially good for underwater photography.
The pier remains a working facility and access closes when ships are loading or when the operator restricts the site. Check with a dive shop before driving south. Do not enter the fenced land or approach machinery; the permitted attraction is underwater.
