Getting There

Curaçao International Airport, usually called Hato (IATA: CUR), is about 12 kilometres northwest of Willemstad. Direct flights connect the island with the Netherlands, North America, Latin America, and other Caribbean islands. Routes change by season, so check the current airport timetable rather than planning around an old airline list.

Rental-car desks and taxis are available at the airport. The drive to central Willemstad usually takes 15–25 minutes. Public buses serve the airport, but they are slow and inconvenient with luggage.

Every visitor must complete Curaçao's online Digital Immigration Card before clearing immigration. You will also need a passport valid for your stay and proof of onward or return travel. Visa rules depend on nationality, so check the official entry requirements before booking.

Cruise ships dock beside Otrobanda, within walking distance of the historic centre. Private yachts can clear in at Curaçao, but there are no scheduled passenger ferries from Aruba, Bonaire, or Venezuela.
