India Dormida is the ridge west of Anton Valley whose profile is said to resemble a sleeping woman. The trail climbs from the village edge through forest and then follows the open ridge, with wide views back across the volcanic valley.
The hike is popular for good reason: it is close to town, not too long, and gives a strong sense of the crater landscape. Start early for cooler weather, carry water, and take care on the descent after rain.
