By Air
Almost all international flights arrive at Providenciales International Airport (PLS), which is well connected to the eastern United States. Direct flights operate from Miami, New York (JFK), Boston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Chicago, and Philadelphia, as well as Toronto and Montreal. British Airways runs a direct service from London, making it the only scheduled transatlantic route.
The airport is notably small for the volume of traffic it handles. Weekend arrivals during high season can mean waits of one to two hours through immigration. Weekday arrivals are considerably smoother.
American Airlines also operates a twice-weekly flight from Miami to South Caicos (XSC), the only direct international service to any island other than Providenciales.
From the airport, transport is by taxi, private car service, or rental car. There is no bus service. Taxis operate on fixed fares; a ride to Grace Bay runs around USD 25. Rental cars start at around USD 50 per day.
By Sea
A handful of smaller cruise lines stop at Grand Turk, which has a dedicated cruise terminal on the south side of the island. There is no scheduled passenger ferry service connecting Turks and Caicos to any other country.
