Campus No. 5 Brewery occupies a converted industrial building near the Lowe Mill corridor and is one of the most respected craft breweries in north Alabama. The taproom is large and deliberately unfussy — exposed brick, concrete floors, long communal tables — and the beer programme covers everything from light lagers to barrel-aged stouts with consistent quality. Several of the seasonal offerings have won regional awards, and the rotating tap list is broad enough to suit most preferences.
The brewery attracts a professional and tech-adjacent crowd that reflects Huntsville's demographics, and the atmosphere on weekend afternoons is lively without being overwhelming. Food trucks typically park outside on weekends. It is a good introduction to Huntsville's craft beer scene, which is notably developed for a smaller Alabama city. Tours of the production facility run on Saturday afternoons.
