Eating Out

Little Rock has a small but solid restaurant scene, concentrated in the River Market District and the SoMa (South Main) corridor. Southern cooking is the baseline — catfish, fried chicken, biscuits, Delta-style tamales — but the city also has a handful of genuinely ambitious restaurants that would not embarrass themselves in a larger city.

The River Market food hall is a good cheap option for lunch. The SoMa district along South Main Street has a higher concentration of independent restaurants and bars.
