The Catalina Island Museum covers 7,000 years of island history, from the native Tongva people through the Wrigley era to the present. The collection includes Tongva artefacts, Hollywood memorabilia from the island's film-set days, and a good account of the bison that still roam the interior. It moved to a purpose-built space on Metropole Avenue in 2016, a big upgrade from its old quarters inside the Casino Building.
