A 1.3-acre garden bequeathed to the city in 1976 by Alice Keck Park (no relation to the park she paid for), this small block of green between Garden, Micheltorena, Santa Barbara, and Arrellaga is one of downtown's quietest corners. Drought-tolerant Mediterranean planting, a koi pond, a small ironwork pavilion, and benches under jacaranda trees.
The garden is across the street from Alameda Park, the bigger and busier sister space; together they make a useful breather between the courthouse and the Mission.
