The large grassy roundabout at the centre of Borrego Springs is the closest thing the town has to a town square. Five roads meet here, the park visitor centre and most of the restaurants are within walking distance, and the central lawn hosts community events through the cooler months — folk concerts, the annual Christmas tree lighting, vintage car shows.
There is little to actually do here, but it is a useful reference point for navigating the town and a pleasant place to picnic under one of the date palms.
