Sacramento has a strong craft beer scene anchored by the Midtown neighbourhood, and a coffee culture to match its university-town demographics. The Railroad District, near the train station, has several good cocktail bars. The Capitol area fills with lobbyists and legislative staff after 5pm; the bars there have been listening to political deals since the 1960s.
