Ontario sits at the western edge of the Inland Empire, just 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. The city grew up around its citrus groves and the grand Euclid Avenue, a wide boulevard modeled after the Champs-Elysees and still lined with trees.
Taste olives and tour the Graber Olive House, an 1894 cannery with a small museum and picnic area. For outdoor recreation, try Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park, where you can fish, swim, rent pedal boats, and picnic. The Ontario Museum of History and Art is a small gem worth a visit, with exhibits on local heritage including Route 66 and Euclid Avenue. Nearby, the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Chino houses World War II aircraft and military-aviation memorabilia.
Ontario is also a shopping destination, anchored by Ontario Mills, a massive outlet center with more than 200 stores at the intersection of Interstates 10 and 15.
