Huntington Beach is built for cars. Downtown, the pier area, and Pacific City are walkable; everything else — Bolsa Chica, Central Park, Sunset Beach — needs wheels.
The beach bike path runs nine miles along the back of the sand from the Santa Ana River north into Sunset Beach. It is the single most pleasant way to move along the coast — bike, skate, or e-scooter rentals are clustered along Main Street and at Pacific City. OCTA bus 1 runs the length of PCH for those without a car. Rideshares are reliable.
