Huntington Central Park

354-acre inland park with library, dog park, and disc golf

Address Goldenwest Street north of Slater

Huntington Central Park covers 354 acres about two miles inland from the beach, making it one of the larger municipal parks in Orange County. It is split by Goldenwest Street into two halves connected by a pedestrian bridge.

Inside the park: two lakes for fishing, an 18-hole disc golf course, the equestrian centre, the Adventure Playground (a supervised hammer-and-nail-and-mud playground for kids, summer only), a heavily-used dog park, and the modern Huntington Beach Central Library. It is where local families spend Saturday morning when the beach is too cold.
