Eating Out

Redondo's food scene splits into two halves. The pier and the International Boardwalk are dominated by casual seafood — fish tacos, clam chowder bowls, cracked crab — much of it Asian-influenced. The Riviera Village at the south end has the more conventional sit-down restaurants, with a wider range of cuisines and a quieter atmosphere. Quality is consistent rather than starry; the South Bay does not draw the same chef talent as the Westside, and most kitchens lean toward neighbourhood standards rather than ambitious cooking.
