Sushi Den

The Kizaki brothers source much of their fish from Japan's Nagahama market and fly it daily to Denver — extraordinary for a city this far from the sea. The result is one of the country's most respected sushi restaurants outside the coasts, in an unassuming building on South Pearl Street in the Platt Park neighborhood.

Walk-ins wait, sometimes for over an hour. Reserve well ahead, or eat at the sister izakaya OTOTO next door (same kitchen, smaller plates, slightly easier to get a table).
