Denver's food scene has matured into one of the best in the interior West. The strongest neighborhoods are RiNo (modern Chinese at Hop Alley, the food hall at Denver Central Market), LoDo (Italian at Tavernetta), the Highlands (the famous rooftop view at Linger, Root Down's farm-to-table), and the Platt Park stretch of South Pearl (sushi worth the wait at Sushi Den). For something quintessentially Denver, the 1893 Buckhorn Exchange still serves elk and bison under 500 mounted heads, and Sam's No. 3 dishes out green-chile breakfast burritos at any hour. Brunch at any Snooze location involves a wait but justifies one.
