Ocean Avenue Downtown

Ocean Avenue runs east-west from US-1 to the beach, and the stretch from Seacrest Boulevard to the water has become Boynton Beach's revived downtown strip. The area had long been quiet — a victim of the suburban sprawl that pulled activity away from old downtowns — but a push over the past decade brought new restaurants, breweries, a weekly green market, and events that draw people from across the county.

The Boynton Beach arts district concentrates around the Arts District at the western end of the avenue, with murals, studios, and occasional gallery nights. The area is walkable, compact, and most easily explored on foot. The proximity to the beach — a ten-minute walk east — and the marina makes this the natural base for spending an afternoon in Boynton Beach.
