A well-run children's museum housed in the 1913 Boynton School building, a two-story frame schoolhouse that is the oldest surviving public building in Boynton Beach. The museum has interactive exhibits aimed at children aged 2–10: a working model farm, a community helpers room, a water play area, and rotating educational programs. The building itself is worth seeing — it stood through both the hurricane of 1928 and the real estate bust that nearly ended Boynton Beach as a town.
The museum is at 129 East Ocean Avenue in the downtown historic district, close to several restaurants and cafés along the Ave. Open Tuesday through Saturday. A good option if you're visiting with younger children and need a few hours of shade.
