Joe's has been serving stone crab claws since 1913, and it remains a Miami institution — part restaurant, part civic ritual. The claws are served cold with Joe's mustard sauce and hash browns, and they are superb. The catch: no reservations are accepted, and the wait during peak season (October to May) can stretch past two hours. The takeaway shop next door is the local workaround. Joe's closes entirely from mid-May through mid-October, when stone crab season ends.
