Haleiwa and the North Shore offer some of the most varied experiences on Oahu: world-class surfing in winter, excellent snorkeling and swimming in summer, shave ice, garlic shrimp trucks, historic churches, and a valley full of ancient Hawaiian history. The beaches between Haleiwa and Sunset Point are the main draw, but the town itself is worth a slow walk.
