Eating Out

Eating on Lanai is a small-island experience: the choices are genuinely limited, and that's part of the charm. At one end of the spectrum is the Four Seasons, with resort dining that wouldn't be out of place in Honolulu or New York. At the other is Lanai City, where a handful of local spots serve the island's residents and visitors without ceremony or pretension.

Don't come expecting a restaurant scene. Come expecting to eat well in a quiet place, to talk to the people who actually live here, and to remember that abundance isn't the only measure of a good meal.
