Ellicott City's main attraction is the historic district itself — a compact stretch of stone buildings, steep streets, and old railroad infrastructure that rewards a slow afternoon on foot. The anchor is the B&O Railroad Museum, but the neighbourhood above and below it has enough character to fill a day.
