Taylor-Bray Farm

The Taylor-Bray Farm in Yarmouthport is one of the oldest continuously farmed properties in the United States, originally settled by Richard Taylor in 1639. Today it's preserved by the town of Yarmouth as a working heritage farm, with a small herd of heritage breed animals and gardens maintained using traditional methods.

The farm is open for self-guided visits and guided tours in season. The views from the high ground of the farm — across the meadows toward Cape Cod Bay — are among the best in the mid-Cape, and the farm itself gives a vivid sense of what the early Colonial landscape looked like before the resort towns arrived.
