Mississippi Aquarium

Biloxi's aquarium opened in 2020 and has rapidly become one of the city's stronger draws — a genuine regional attraction focused on the Gulf Coast marine environment. The main tank holds Gulf of Mexico species including sharks, rays, and the dense schools of baitfish common to offshore reefs. A separate freshwater section covers Mississippi's inland waterways.

The aquarium is well-mounted and the Gulf-focused content gives it a distinct identity. Sea turtle rehabilitation is an active programme, and depending on timing, visitors may see animals being treated before release. Located on the waterfront near the casino strip, it is an easy half-day stop and one of the better ways to understand what lives in the water you are looking at along the coast.
