Clift Park is the small lakeside park where Genesee Street meets the water — the centre of village life in summer. Wednesday evening band concerts in the wooden gazebo, occasional sailing regattas just offshore, and a community swimming pier make it busy from June through August.
The view down the lake from the railing is among the most photographed in the Finger Lakes: 25 kilometres of water narrowing between wooded hills, with the steeple of St James' Episcopal Church off to the left. Bring an ice cream from Doug's Fish Fry and sit on a bench.
