The Skaneateles Festival, founded in 1980, brings a month of chamber music to the village every August. Concerts happen in a mix of venues: in the gazebo at Clift Park (free), in local churches (small fee), and at Anyela's Vineyards south of town, where the audience sits on the lawn with the lake spread out below.
The roster mixes established performers and rising stars; programming leans classical with the occasional jazz or world-music evening. Buy tickets in advance — many concerts sell out, especially the Anyela's lawn shows.
