Onondaga Lake Park stretches along the lake shore north of Syracuse, with car-free paths for walking, skating, and cycling. There are picnic areas, playgrounds, a marina, boat launches, and seasonal bike rentals.
It is not Syracuse's grandest sight, but it is one of the easiest places in the area to get outside for a few hours, especially if you are travelling with children or want a flat ride by the water.
